Turtleena

It's been stormy lately. Snow and wind block the fragile spring. Inside I struggle with Shadows. I just want to hide. Hiding is hard though. Inside are all the haunted screams, bubbling up to the surface. Whispers dark and broken seek escape. When I look at myself, I see the scars. They make me want to cut again. I try to drown everything with music. To watch things that distract from the creeping despair. Why do my eyes burn with tears? How did my very being become agony restrained? I search for my light, but I can't see it through the storm within. I don't know what to do. All I hear is this burning question: Why?
